What is the Save-A-Heart Benefit?
The Louis J. Acompora Memorial Foundation is dedicated to the education and implementation of AED programs at schools, athletic fields, and other public facilities. This year, our Save-A-Heart Benefit was attended by over 600 people on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, NY.

The evening's festivities were emceed by FOX-TV news anchorman Ernie Anastos. One of the highlights of the evening was the introduction of seven survivors of sudden cardiac arrest - each saved with a defibrillator that was put in place directly because of the efforts of the Louis J. Acompora Memorial Foundation.

The Save-A-Heart Benefit raised funds to continue the grants which implement AED programs in schools and athletic organizations, as well as funding research for improved athletic equipment.

The unrelenting commitment and hard work of all associated with the Louis J. Acompora Memorial Foundation is proving that lives can and will be saved. This work will continue long into the future. It will keep Louis' memory and ideals alive. The Foundation is now and will continue to be committed to "Taking Our Children Out of Harm's Way."
